As owner and lead consultant Eamon offers a background which starts back in the 80's with an ESB Electrical Apprenticeship.  This was followed by Design Engineering and Management in the Electrical Switchgear Manufacturing Industry and the Food industry before starting his own Business in 2003. The interest in Solar Energy peaked in 2010 with the opportunity  to own and manage multiple Home Solar Systems in the UK, gaining knowledge on best installation practices, real time power production, utilisation  and remote management .

With the installation of a prototype hinged Solar PV system in 2016 in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan the assumption that -” Sure you couldn't produce power from the sun in Monaghan, its too far North“ has been disproved with the knowledge that the system has provided on average 3000 units of electricity per year. Its not ideally facing south and suffers from shading from immovable objects but still produces enough power to run our 64 kwhr Battery Kona Electric car for 20,000 km per year !

To round off the knowledge base, in 2019 Eamon undertook the SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) course on Renewable Energy obtaining Distinctions in Level 6 in Micro Solar Photovoltaic Systems . With in-depth knowledge of Solar Edge products used in the industry Eamon is also a Solar Edge Certified installer.

Eamon is a member of SafeElectric, with QC Testing certification and is also a Member of Engineers Ireland and is on the North East Regions Committee.
